Although I started nearly 30 years ago ,this range still offers some interesting prototypes in both 4mm & 7mm scales, many have never been produced by any other manufacturers. Amongst the range there are some superb kits that are suitable for modellers who like something different, they are all in etched brass, the loco’s have nickel silver chassis, and where possible fittings are in lost wax brass.
It has been nearly 10 years since George Pring started to develop his range of 7mm Gresley coaches and construction manual, and although
the range is only small, it still remains the finest range of accurately engineered etched brass coach kits on the market in the UK.
With all the parts available separately ie underframes bogies and fittings, they can be used on other manufactures coaches to upgrade them.
Sunset Models are producing a range of Korean built Brass American 0 gauge prototypes of breath taking quality at affordable prices. A few years ago they entered the European market with the SNCF 141R which was an outstanding success, this was followed by the LNER A1/A3 “Flying Scotsman” both in 7mm fine scale. This is being followed by the LNER A4 in 3 versions and is due out in the Spring.
