The factory had got the dates wrong for the Telford show, The first pre production model was not quite finished in time but still
looks very good in the LNER Apple Green livery, more Pictures to follow.
The first photographs of the pre-production model, unlike the first sample as seen at exhibitions, this is a new model, showing the detached chassis and boiler cab assembly . The next stage is to completely finish this sample and to fully paint and finish off prior to sending it for display. The factory has booked production for delivery by the end of the year , I have obtained a range of sample plates which will be sent to the factory in the coming days, they already have colour swatches and sample decals .I hope from now on to keep you up to date with progress.
This view showing many of the parts and the first of the etchings and some of the castings many yet to be fitted.
Close up of the tender so far built. Flares have been formed with the coal Shute shaped and temporarily fitted, in the background you can see the well tank and water pickup scoop.
A closer picture of the tender showing tool boxes and drag beam with the holes in the frames for the horn guides.
